Legendary Actor Unmasked as the New York Ripper in ‘Dexter: Resurrection’

0 3

Season 2 is upping the intensity, delivering more blood and psychological terror than before.

Dexter: Resurrection Season 2

The chilling presence of The New York Ripper was first teased in the first season when Dexter Morgan, played with signature precision by Michael C. Hall, uncovers a file on the elusive serial killer. Until now, audiences have only heard the voice of the New York Ripper, a retired serial killer, Dom Frant, who keeps busy by haunting the families of his past victims.

In the 1982 horror film, The New York Ripper, the killer is a man who quacks like a duck, stalks and kills women in horrific ways, unlike the mild-mannered Dexter, who only kills bad people who have harmed others.

The mystery has been shattered. The role will be brought to life by Brian Cox who has experience playing creepy killers; he once played Hannibal Lecter in the 1986 film Manhunter. Anthony Hopkins delivered a terrifying depiction of Lecter in Silence of the Lambs in 1991, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Other heavy hitters in season 2 include standout performances by Peter Dinklage and Claudette Wallace.

Filming starts in April. In October you can watch the series on Paramount +.
