'Yellowstone’ Teases Brand-New Spinoff With Two Fan-Favorite Characters To Return

Paramount+ has confirmed that Dutton Ranch, an upcoming spinoff in the Yellowstone universe, has set a release date of May 15, 2026.

Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly, who play Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler in the original show, will return in the new series. They will be joined by Oscar-nominated actors Ed Harris and Annette Bening, alongside Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. VillarrealMarc Menchaca, and Natalie Alyn Lind.

The show will reportedly take place several years after Yellowstone's conclusion, with Beth and Rip traveling to a new ranch in Texas to escape the ghosts of their past. But when they arrive, a ruthless neighboring ranch will stop at nothing to protect the empire they've built.

"In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul," the official synopsis reads.

Paramount+ has unveiled an official teaser to give fans the first glimpse of Beth and Rip's new adventure.

Dutton Ranch will be the second spinoff series in the Yellowstone universe, following on from Marshals—which features Beth's brother Kayce (played by Luke Grimes) in the lead role. The show has already been renewed for a second season before the first season is over.

Speaking about the future of her character Beth, Kelly Reilly said: "I trust [showrunner Taylor Sheridan] with wherever he takes her; whether we’re leaving her where we’ve left her, or we’re going to find her somewhere else, I trust him" (via THR).

Cole Hauser said: "Kelly and I are focused on [Rip and Beth’s] relationship and our love together, and what we’re going to get [them] into.”

Yellowstone director Christina Voros also teased the possibility of Beth and Kayce reuniting in the future: "There’s so much potential in having all of these spinoffs in the universe, you would love to see what could come of that."

Dutton Ranch will air weekly on Paramount+ and the Paramount Network beginning May 15 at 8 p.m. The show's premiere will be a two-episode special, with the series continuing with one episode per week for a total of nine episodes.
