MLB Pitcher Hospitalized After Incident During Spring Training
Philadelphia Phillies reliever Daniel Robert suffered a cardiac event during a spring training session. He collapsed suddenly on the pitching mound. People on the medical team used a defibrillator on him before he was transported to the hospital.
Robert, 31 discovered he had a heart issue during a medical exam before spring training began. He hasn’t pitched in a spring training game yet but played in 15 games last season. He had a similar incident last October and the Phillies medical team administered CPR and used a defibrillator to shock his heart, USA Today reported.
He’s in stable condition.
