Legendary Pop Star’s DWI Arrest Video Released
The police officer who pulled Justin Timberlake over for blowing past a stop sign and erratic driving in the Hamptons in 2024 didn’t recognize him at first.
One Timberlake failed basic sobriety tests and refused to take a breathalyzer test; he was put in handcuffs without incident and placed in the back of a squad car. TMZ was first to release the footage of the bodycam video.
“This is going to ruin the tour,” he said to himself.
“What tour?” the officer asked.
“The world tour,” the singer said.
Timberlake was charged with driving while impaired and reportedly had to say “ByeByeBye” To $300 to $500, a drop in the bucket for the Grammy winner.
His lawyer, Edward Burke, Jr. said Timberlake was not intoxicated at the time, although his stumbling walk in the video and bloodshot eyes in his mugshot said otherwise.
His friend, designer Estee Stanley, who was behind him in her car with her husband, drove Justin's rental back to the house where he was staying.
He was released the next day and fought hard to keep the video from being made public, a stark reminder that no one is safe from a single bad decision.
During a live performance of his Forget Tomorrow Tour, he gave an emotional statement to his fans, which you can see on Instagram.
"It's been a tough week. But, you're here and I'm here. And nothing can change this moment right now. I know sometimes I'm hard to love, but you keep on loving me and I love you right back."
