Why We Love This Deal
Here at Men's Journal, we’ve covered everything from Garmin to Amazfit wearables, which are some of the best outdoor and fitness trackers on the market. But recently, we found a smartwatch that's more everyday-friendly, while still providing the essential health/fitness tracking features you look for. It's Samsung’s Galaxy Watch8, and it's over $170 off at the moment.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch8 typically retails for $400 at Walmart in its 44mm Bluetooth configuration, but it's currently on sale for $229. Although other retailers mark this watch's MSRP at $380, Walmart still has the lowest sale price for this spec, beating out Target’s sale of $260. Additionally, the watch bands can be swapped, so if you’re not in love with this colorway, you can switch it up.

The Galaxy Watch8 is made for those who want their health tracking, fitness coaching, and everyday smartwatch convenience in one wearable. Boasting a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display, 5 ATM water resistance, GPS, and all the important health tracking features, it gives you detailed insights into your wellness at the office or on a run. The overall lightweight design, 40-hour battery life, and NFC payment compatibility make it a great daily driver as well.
The Galaxy Watch8 is a true balance of usual smartwatch features with solid fitness tracking. Compared to the Apple Watch Series 11, the Watch8 is Android-compatible, offers longer battery life, and has a significantly brighter display. Compared to Garmin’s Fenix watches, you miss out on ultra-long GPS modes and topo maps, but get better app integration and a more polished UI (for a lower price as well).

What Shoppers Are Saying
Customer reviews are pretty light at Walmart, but there are plenty on Samsung’s site to look at. One reviewer who has owned multiple Galaxy watch models commented that this is “by far the lightest and best-fitting” model at the moment. A second user said the watch has “an abundance of features,” and found it “very rich with health measuring and monitoring capabilities.”
It’s worth noting that this is the international version of the watch, which is why it has a bigger discount than other models. That said, you can still use the watch in the States, but you'll need a quick workaround. All you have to do is select a different country during setup, then switch back to the States.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch8 is available now for $229, and it’s packed with features you’ll use every day. There’s no telling when this deal will end, which means now’s the time to pick one up if you’re interested.
