Is Tyler Perry Dating a Real Housewife? The Truth Behind the Social Media Photos

Call it remarkable timing, but in the midst of new episodes of Tyler Perry’s hit Netflix series Beauty in Black being rolled out, the multi-hyphenate oddly finds his personal life at the center of attention. Thanks to a few photos circulating on social media, Perry fans and those with a healthy dose of curiosity are now speculating on whether or not the Hollywood powerhouse is dating former cast member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Marlo Hampton. Take a look at the photos in question. 

Many users across Instagram and X (formerly) expressed their utter shock at the images, with a number of them questioning if they were another result of misused AI. Well, after much speculation, it appears there’s a definitive answer on the authenticity of the photos and the actual relationship between Perry and Hampton.

The Breakfast Club’s Loren LoRosa Clarifies Tyler Perry and Marlo Hampton Dating Rumors

Co-host of the famed The Breakfast Club radio show, Loren LoRosa, took to Instagram on March 20, and almost immediately in the video post, she says of Perry and Hampton, “No, they are not dating. I’m told he’s never even met her before this brunch, by Jason Lee.”

LoRosa goes on to share that the brunch in question was a gospel brunch thrown for Catherine Brewton, vice president of Creative at Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI). In attendance was Grammy-winning gospel artist Kirk Franklin and entertainment reporter/reality star/politician, Jason Lee. Perry was invited to attend the brunch by Lee, and Hampton is a close friend of Brewton, so that’s why Perry and Hampton were both at the event, sitting next to each other. Wrapping up this point, LoRosa again emphasizes that the two are not dating and never even met prior to the brunch. 

Are the Photos of Tyler Perry and Marlo Hampton Kissing Real? 

Now, in terms of the photo of Perry and Hampton kissing, LoRosa says it is absolutely a doctored image. The photographer of the original photos taken, Freddy O, confirmed that fact.
