Country Music Star Pauses Career, Cancels Shows to Seek ‘Professional Help’

A country music star has announced that he will be stepping away from the spotlight to seek "professional help." That has led to the popular singer, Randall King, canceling and postponing several upcoming shows.

Why Randall King Is Stepping Away

On March 18, Randall King announced that he would be stepping back from his country music career for the time being. In an Instagram post, the singer explained that he'd "taken a serious look at areas of his life that need serious attention." He added that his choices were affecting not only him, but also the people he loves most.

After realizing he needed to make changes, King revealed that he was canceling some of his upcoming shows and postponing others. He explained that he didn't want to step on stage without confidence, so he's "seeking professional help" while focusing on his family, faith, health, and mental health.

King's post revealed that he'd fully canceled his upcoming shows in the Texas cities of Kenedy and Austin, as well as Wickenburg, California. He was also postponing shows in El Paso, Texas; Tucson, Arizona; and California's Anaheim and Sacramento.
