Behind the Smiles: Documentary Exposes Sex Scandals on Popular Game Show
It was a different era of game show hosts, when they could hug the guests and pretty models on stage. The Price is Right is one of the most iconic game shows.

Backstage Shenanigans
Juicy (and some unsavory) details emerge in the third installment of E’s docuseries, Dirty Rotten Scandals, which includes interviews with former members of the talent production teams going back to the mid 1970s.
Host Bob Barker was all hugs, smiles, and the occasional kiss onscreen, but backstage was more sinister. Staff reveals he had sex in his dressing room with one of the on-screen beauties, even though he had a girlfriend. It was an affair that started as a secret, but pretty soon everyone knew, according to People.
Racism on Set
Kathleen Bradley was the first Black model on The Price is Right, joining in 1990, but things soured for her when she realized people were calling her the “N” word behind her back in meetings.
"As time went on, at some point it got back to me that some of the fans were writing negative things about me being on the show, as a Black model," she shared in the documentary.
"[It was] just not a good feeling... And one of the members of the production team brought to my attention that, inside a production meeting, when models weren't in there, they would use the N word," Bradley revealed.
Bradley knew about Bob's affair with model Dian Parkinson.
"Dian confided in me," Bradley recalled. "I was really kind of surprised because Bob also had a girlfriend. As time went on, people were noticing… the audience, and the viewers at home, from how close Bob and Dian were hugging and looking at each other, playing around and all of that, so it didn't really stay private very long. She would go downstairs during the breaks and go into his dressing room, and that's when some hanky panky was going on."
The relationship that was once all fireworks erupted into a firebomb with a sexual harassment claim. Watch to find out who was all involved and what happened.
Spay and Neuter Campaign
Barker urged viewers to spay and neuter their pets to help reduce the shelter population, which is something viewers can applaud. But as for the other things, you’ll have to watch the documentary to find out more.
Dirty Rotten Scandals: The Price Is Right premieres Wednesday, March 18 at 9:00pm ET/PT on E! with two back-to-back episodes.
