Eric Dane's Daughters, Widow Rebecca Gayheart Make First Red Carpet Appearance Since His Death

Eric Dane’s family made their first public appearance since his death on Tuesday night, with his widow, Rebecca Gayheart, and their two daughters stepping out for the premiere of The Drama.

While it doesn’t appear Dane or Gayheart are in the film, it does star Dane’s Euphoria costar Zendaya.

Gayheart, 54, wore a black and red stripped dress to the event, where she was joined by teen daughters Billie, 16, and Georgia, 14. Billie (below right) wore a white lace dress for the occasion, while Georgia (below left) was seen in a pink bodycon dress.

One Month Since Dane's Tragic Death

Their appearance comes nearly one month after the death of the late Grey’s Anatomy star, who died amid a very public battle with ALS on February 19, 2026. While Dane and Gayheart separated in 2018, with the actor dating other women in the time before he died, she remained by his side as caretaker through it all. He was just 53.

“With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS. He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, Rebecca, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world,” the family said in a statement when he died.

“Throughout his journey with ALS, Eric became a passionate advocate for awareness and research, determined to make a difference for others facing the same fight. He will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered always,” they continued. “Eric adored his fans and is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support he’s received.”

A GoFundMe was also created to support his daughters “and their future needs.”

Following his death, Netflix released an episode of Famous Last Words, an interview series in which notable figures who know they are dying sit down for a conversation to be released after they die. In it, Dane shared his final message to his daughters.

“I hope Ive demonstrated that you can face anything. You can face the end of your days. You can face hell with dignity. Fight girls, and hold your heads high,” he said on the special. "Billie and Georgia, you are my heart. You are my everything. Good night. I love you. Those are my last words.”

Family Speaks Out

Gayheart, meanwhile, said the family was still in a “state of shock” in an interview with Variety published on March 11.

“I just want to thank everybody for being so kind to us during the last couple of years. It’s been challenging and meaningful, and people are kind,” she said at the time.

“I’m having trouble receiving all of the support and love coming at me from every which way because of Eric and the [entertainment] community that’s so generous with their time,” she told the outlet. “They’ve been holding me and the girls up the last two weeks, and I don’t think they’re going anywhere. I think they’re in it for the long haul. Hollywood gets a bad rap. That kind of makes me mad, because we have a lovely community of people, and I’m so grateful for them.”
