There are a lot of different settings you can use this rain jacket in, but REI recommends that it's best for a wet hike. That’s probably because, unlike a lot of jackets, this one is easily packable and can fit into its own left-hand pocket (or your bag) when you don’t need it. When you do have it on, it’ll prove waterproof with its nylon and polyester face and seam-sealed material, which will prevent moisture from seeping in.
It’s stretchy too, making it useful while you’re trekking on a trail or just walking about the neighborhood. Plus, there are even pit zips you can use to shed heat, which is common in rain jackets, allowing your body to breathe easily and regulate your temperature.
As for price, this rain jacket is much more affordable than the higher-end options found at REI. And while it’s not the cheapest choice on the market—Walmart has one for around $10—it’s worth the extra dough in terms of coverage and quality.
