Beloved Comedy Series Returns To Streaming Next Week

The second season of Amazon's hit comedy show Jury Duty returns on March 20.

The show—whose first season was an immediate hit and received three Primetime Emmy nominations—follows one unsuspecting victim in a fake scenario surrounded by professional actors.

Season 1 centered on Ronald, a friendly non-actor who believed he'd been summoned for jury duty at his local court but ended up in a fabricated reality show where everything that possibly could go wrong, did go wrong.

James Marsden made a guest appearance in the show's first season, with the Hollywood star building a close friendship with Ronald throughout their time on the show and making the increasingly absurd scenarios even more believable with his Golden Globe-nominated acting skills.

Season 2 of Jury Duty is subtitled "Company Retreat" and brings a new victim into the spotlight: Anthony, a young intern who believes he's landed a job at a hot sauce company. But when he's invited on the company's annual retreat, the unsuspecting intern finds himself surrounded by actors tasked with making his stay as awkward as possible.

The first trailer for Jury Duty's second season was released last month, and it teases much of the same slapstick humor and unbelievable scenarios that made the first season such a worldwide hit.

Jury Duty's first season originally aired on Freevee. Since the show's premiere, Freevee has been discontinued and its content merged with Prime Video. The platform originally existed to make certain Amazon/MGM properties available without a Prime subscription, but the streamer decided having two platforms wasn't a viable option.

Freevee original content—such as Jury Duty's first season—can still be accessed on Prime Video without a subscription. The second season will stream directly on Prime Video, with users requiring a valid subscription to watch it.
