Taylor Sheridan's Shocking New Show Streams This Week—and It's Nothing Like 'Yellowstone'

And while there's a definite and literal connection between the TV series Yellowstone and its prequel, 1923, Sheridan's shows are not all alike. From Lioness to Landman, there's a huge amount of subject matter covered in Sheridan's shows, even if tough-talking people and beautiful landscapes often figure into the storylines. And, just as the Sheridan-approved series Marshals is giving Yellowstone fans their Kayce Dutton fix, Sheridan is about to drop another series, and it's unlike anything he's done before.

A new six-episode drama called The Madison —starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell—is hitting Paramount+ very soon. Here's what to know about the show and why it hits harder than a lot of Sheridan shows to date. No spoilers ahead.

What is Taylor Sheridan's The Madison?

The Madison is a new drama series that takes place both in Montana and New York City. It's primarily a family drama centered on the Clyburns, a family that undergoes a huge tragedy, and a shift that changes them all forever. It's tricky to get into the details of the show without ruining the premise, but let's just say that the first episode is shocking, and you'll want to avoid spoilers until you've watched.

The name of the series is taken from the Madison River valley in central Montana. The Madison Release Date and Streaming Times

The Madison Season 1 will consist of six episodes total. And by the end of next week, you'll be able to binge the entire show. That's because the series will drop two blocks of three episodes each, over the course of two weeks. Here's what that looks like:

• Saturday, March 14, 2026: The Madison Episodes 1-3 stream on Paramount+.
• Saturday, March 21, 2026: The Madison Episodes 406 stream on Paramount+, concluding Season 1.

Paramount+ episodes tend to release at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time. So, it's possible some of the episodes of The Madison could drop on Friday evening on the West Coast.
