Enhypen News: Why Did Heeseung Leave Enhypen?

On Tuesday, March 10, founding Enhypen member Heeseung announced that he's leaving the band.

He issued the statement through his agency, Belift Lab, across the group's official social pages and channels, with the statement saying that the decision made after plenty of discussions about the group's future and what the singer wants to do musically for himself going forward.

Why Did Heeseung Leave Enhypen?

Heeseung left the musical group Enhypen to pursue a solo music career.

“Through in-depth discussions with each of the members about the future they envision and the direction of the team, it became clear that Heeseung has his own distinct musical vision,” the company stated on social media.

They added that they would like to "express our gratitude toward Engene for their unwavering support for Enhypen and provide information on Enhypen's future activities."

The statement continued, "It’s difficult to relay the whole process through a short notice, but this decision comes after extensive deliberation. We understand that this news is a lot to process and may be received with mixed reactions. Nevertheless, we hope you understand that this decision was made for the future of Enhypen and Heeseung."

So, the group will continue as a six-piece with Jake, Jay, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon and Ni-ki.

Heeseung Enhypen Leaves and Pens a Note to Fans

Heeseung also took to social media to thank fans for the support. He made his emotions known in a heartfelt message.

In a letter on his official social accounts, he stated, "The past six years have been filled with moments that are difficult to put into words — moments that were overwhelmingly meaningful, and incredibly precious to me. Sharing so many emotions with the members, and having Engenes always there to support us, helped me move closer, step by step, to a dream that once felt out of reach. I truly believe none of this would have been possible without you."

He added that those special memories "will remain some of the most shining and unforgettable moments of my life. I will never forget them, and I want to continue supporting Enhypen as someone who will always cheer them on."

He also thanked the members of the group "who shared countless emotions" together and the band's legions of listeners over the years. "I was able to approach my dream step by step that I felt I could not reach," he added. Don't expect to have to wait too long for Heeseung to announce his next step.
