Jennifer Runyon's Cause of Death Revealed in Moving Tribute
Jennifer Runyon is best known for her roles in Ghostbusters and Charles in Charge. News of her death, which broke on March 8, hit one of her friends hard, and she revealed Runyon's cause of death.
Runyon's family confirmed her death at the age of 65. "My beautiful sister Jennifer has joined the angels in Heaven," her brother David Runyon wrote on Facebook. "Always dedicated to her convictions, Jenn was a wonderful mother and talented actress who especially loved the beauty in nature. Her soft voice and sweet smile will remain with me forever." Jennifer Runyon's Cause of Death Was a 'Brief Battle' With Cancer, a Friend Wrote
Erin Murphy is an actress who has starred on the Bewitched television series.
"So sad to share that my friend Jennifer Runyon Corman has passed away after a brief battle with cancer,????" Murphy wrote on March 8, sharing a photo showing her with Runyon. "Some people you just know you’ll be friends with before you even meet. She was a special lady. I’ll miss you Jenn. My thoughts are with your family and beautiful children."
A cousin also wrote on Facebook that Runyon's cancer spread fast.
"This past Friday our beloved Jennifer passed away, it was a long and arduous journey that ended with her surrounded by her family," confirmed a post on Runyon's page, according to TMZ.
Runyon had a long list of screen credits to her name, also appearing on Another World, Quantum Leap, and Murder, She Wrote.
Actor Scott Baio Called Jennifer Runyon 'Sweet, Kind & Generous'

Actor Scott Baio also wrote a tribute to Runyon. "I had the extreme pleasure of working with Jennifer Runyon on Charles In Charge. She was a sweet, kind, and generous actress to work with," his post says.
"Jennifer played my longtime girlfriend on Charles In Charge, however, she was also a wonderful mother and wife. We last saw each other at The Hollywood Christmas Parade in late 2019. I’m sending my deepest condolences, prayers, and sympathy to her family during this difficult time. God bless her and her family."
Tributes came from many corners.
A man wrote on Facebook, "I was sad to hear the news about Jennifer Runyon Corman and her passing. Many years ago I worked on a movie with her and was also the one that drove her around. She was the nicest soul and genuinely a good person. She bragged so much about her family who she loved so much."
A Ghostbusters fan group also offered tribute. "Today we received the sad news that Jennifer Runyon has passed away," the page wrote. "Ghostbusters fans will remember Jennifer for her role as the female student in the ESP test scene in the 1984 film Ghostbusters. It is a small moment in the movie, but one that many fans remember with a smile."
Added the page, "We had the great honor of meeting Jennifer in Offenburg a few years ago. She was incredibly kind, warm, and open to everyone she met. She took time for fans, shared stories, and made every interaction feel special."
