Nancy Guthrie Update: New Development Emerges as Investigators Search Miles From Home
Thirty-three days after Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her Tucson home, investigators are casting a wider net than most people realized — and new details about evidence found miles from the scene are emerging.
Nancy Guthrie Update Today: More Evidence to Focus On
While much of the public focus has been on the pair of black gloves found roughly two and a half miles from Nancy's home — DNA from which was traced to a nearby restaurant worker and eliminated from the investigation — authorities have quietly been testing additional gloves found significantly farther away. According to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, gloves recovered as far as six to seven miles from the scene are still being analyzed. They are not currently a priority in the investigation, but they have not been ruled out either.
The detail reframes what many assumed was a closed chapter in the gloves storyline. While the closest glove has been eliminated, the investigation's physical footprint extends much farther than previously reported.

What Might Still Help With the Nancy Guthrie Investigation
Sheriff Nanos confirmed this week that investigators have returned to Nancy Guthrie's home as they continue searching for clues. He also revealed the staggering scale of the video review currently underway — authorities are combing through thousands of hours of traffic camera footage from the area surrounding Nancy's home, in addition to Ring camera footage of the masked suspect captured the night she was taken.
"Their big focus is on forensic evidence," Nanos said, adding that both digital and DNA evidence remain actively under analysis.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, has been missing since February 1. The FBI and Pima County Sheriff's Department continue to search for her. A $1 million family reward remains active, along with additional rewards from the FBI and the 88-CRIME tip line.
