Aiper Revolutionizes Garden Hose Watering with the Irrisense 2
Up until now, if you wanted a smart lawn with multiple zones of irrigation, you had to hire a company to dig up your yard and bury miles of PVC pipe. It was an expensive, permanent endeavor that cost thousands of dollars and was a nightmare to repair if a seal broke. The Aiper IrriSense 2 aims to turn that concept on its head by offering the first 4-in-1 smart sprinkler with multi level zone management through a single garden hose.

A 4-in-1 Smart Sprinkler
Aiper’s sprinkler manages your yard’s irrigation needs while also fertilizing it. It has a smart controller that connects to WiFi, a motorized head that can change distance and angle on the fly, an electric valve that controls water flow, and a feeder that fertilizes as its watering.
Virtual Mapping Via a Smartphone
The IrriSense 2 works much like a robot vacuum. Using the Aiper app and the device’s built-in Cognitive AI, you map your yard digitally. You can designate up to 10 independent watering zones—for example, Zone 1 for the lawn, Zone 2 for the vegetable garden, and Zone 3 for your rose bushes.
Once mapped, the device uses its precision rotor to deliver water only where it belongs. If it's watering a narrow strip of grass next to your driveway, the AI will micro-adjust the pressure and angle in real-time to soak the grass while keeping your pavement bone-dry. In total, a single unit can cover up to 4,800 square feet.
Adapts to the Weather
Since the Aiper is connected to your home’s Wifi, it monitors local atmospheric data. If the forecast calls for rain, it will skip your morning watering. It even has a wind mode that can detect gusty conditions and adjust the angle of the sprinkler head to account for drift caused by the wind.
SoilPulse Injection
The newest version of the Aiper sprinkler doesn't just water, it also delivers liquid fertilizer. At the base of the unit is a small compartment that holds SoilPulse nutrient pods. Via the app, you can program the system to fertilize only specific zones. This ensures your grass gets the nitrogen it needs while your flowers get a different nutrient mix.
Module AI
The Aiper is modular. You can add a Nutrient Module, which will detect the chemical profile of fertilizer then adjust the water flow to get that just right dilution for whatever zone you're spraying. There are also sensor modules that will detect external soil moisture provided in your lawn and garden beds and adjust its water schedule accordingly, and a wind module that will calibrate the spray arc to account for wind drift.
The Verdict
At $499, the Aiper IrriSense 2 is a significant investment for a sprinkler, but a massive bargain compared to a $5,000 in-ground system. It offers the automation of a professional install with the DIY ease of a garden hose. It is important to note that it’s not as comprehensive as an irrigation system. Like any sprinkler it’s limited to the max 4,800 square-foot range.
