'Man on the Run': Where To Watch Paul McCartney's New Documentary

Paul McCartney's new documentary, Man on the Run, has finally been released in the United States. The film details McCartney's career after his success with the Beatles, most notably in his follow-up band, Wings.

The film had its premiere at the Telluride Film Festival back in August 2025, where it received strong reviews from critics. Following a one-night-only screening on February 19, the film will be available for audiences to stream at home.

Prime Video subscribers will be able to watch McCartney's documentary at no extra cost from February 27, while newcomers can sign up for a three-month free trial to gain temporary access to the platform's huge back catalog of movies and TV shows.

With a title that draws inspiration from the hit single by McCartney and Wings, Man on the Run is a celebration of McCartney's career after the Beatles, highlighting how his musicianship evolved in a new direction as he attempted to step outside of the spotlight somewhat.

McCartney has undeniably had the most successful post-Beatles career of any of his ex-bandmates, and Morgan Neville's new documentary displays how he manages to execute this career shift in a fresh and engaging way.

The doc will join Inside John Lennon and Imagine: John Lennon on Prime, giving audiences the perfect opportunity for a Beatles-themed documentary double bill.

The release also coincides with a new compilation album titled Wings, which was released last year and features McCartney's own picks for the most important songs from his time in the band.

Last year also saw the release of Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run, a memoir by McCartney that "sheds new light on the immediate aftermath and seismic global impact" of his departure from the Beatles. (via The Guardian)
