Russell Wilson's Difficult Choice on ‘Hot Ones’: Super Bowl or Wedding Ring

It’s hard to believe that come July, Super-Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson and Grammy-winning artist Ciara will have been married for ten years. Since their wedding back in 2016, the duo has emerged as “#CoupleGoals” in pop culture, with countless people aspiring to have something close to their success in love. Knowing all of this is why it was especially interesting to see Wilson’s reaction to a recent question he was asked on the popular YouTube series Hot Ones Versus. 

For those who aren’t as familiar, Hot Ones Versus is a competition show between two guests, in this case, Wilson and Ciara. They are each tasked with asking the other deeply personal questions, and the recipient of the question can either choose to answer it or eat a wing dipped in very hot sauce instead. The person who eats the most wings loses. 

Given his competitive background, you’d think Wilson would want to make sure he wins and pass on eating the wings. He even tells Ciara, “You’re going to lose today, though.” However, some questions are even hotter than the sauce. Case in point, when asked to choose between his Super Bowl ring or his wedding ring to Ciara, he was a bit tongue-tied when it came to answering, especially with his wife looking on. So how did he answer that, and a big question about his past coaches?

Russell Wilson Asked, “The Worst Coach You’ve Played for?” 

Around the 2:48 mark, Ciara asks Wilson a doozy of a question. She asks, “The worst coach you’ve played for?” After he repeats the question, he hems and haws before smiling and saying, “I should probably eat a win.” As he takes a bite, he instantly says, “Oh my God, this is hot. This is hot.” 

His not answering was probably a wise decision. Especially when you consider he doesn’t want to burn any bridges, as he still wants to play football and is an unrestricted free agent at the time of publication. Now, one football-related question he did answer was about the city with the worst fans, which he dubbed Jacksonville. 

Ciara Waits for Russell Wilson to Answer Which Ring Is More Important to Him

Eventually, Ciara asks the question of the day. She poses, “Which ring is more important to you? Your Super Bowl ring or your wedding ring? 

In a rare moment from Wilson, he kicks off his response by laughing, “Y’all f*cked up for that.” Before he says anything else, he quickly picks up another wing and eats it. Ciara was a good sport about it, as she simply giggled at her husband being asked to choose. 
Overall, the pair seemed to have a good time running through all of the interesting questions on the show, and are actually very entertaining to watch in Hot Ones Versus. In case you were wondering, Wilson wound up winning. Check out the full video below.
