Who Is Competing in the Enhanced Games?

0 7

The Enhanced Games are an Olympic-style sports competition that takes place in about three months in Las Vegas. Athletes are allowed to use performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) to compete in swimming, track, and weightlifting.

The creators of this event say that an independent medical commission will establish safety protocols to ensure athletes are not harmed. Experts from cardiology, sports medicine, endocrinology, immunology, pharmacology, and neuroscience are working with the athletes.

The website says the company behind the competition is “Transforming human potential into superhumanity.”

However, this competition has come under serious scrutiny. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) says that this type of competition “destroys any concept of fair play and fair competition in sport.”

The IOC tries to weed out the athletes who don’t follow the rules. During the Paris Olympics, nearly 50 cases of doping, which disqualified those athletes, according to ESPN.

Cash Prizes

Prizes include $500,000 for each event and $1 million bonuses for anyone who breaks a world record in the 50-meter freestyle swimming events and the 100-meter sprint in track.

People from all over the world are competing, and here are the athletes who have signed up for Team USA.

Swimming

Cody Miller has won gold, silver, and bronze for his swimming talents. He’s an expert at the breast stroke. Megan Romano was the first woman to sign up to compete. She’s won several gold medals in various freestyle relay races.

Track

Fred Kerley, who is on track to be the fastest man in the world, will face off against former football player turned sprinter, Marvin Bracy-Williams. For the women’s team, gold medalists Shania Collins and Taylor Anderson will compete for the big prize.

Weightlifting

Olympic weightlifter Wesley Kitts will also join the Enhanced Games. He’s won gold three times. He snatched 177 kg, which is 390 lbs., a PR for him.

Several of these athletes have already been banned in other events due to doping or not taking drug tests for traditional events.

The enhanced website also serves as a telehealth company, selling injectable and oral testosterone and also enclomiphene, an oral therapy that stimulates your body’s natural testosterone production while helping preserve fertility.

The competition will take place in May 2026.
