'Yellowstone', 'Weapons' Actors Join Cast of 'Grey's Anatomy'
Grey's Anatomy has added two familiar faces to its cast for its 22nd season, according to an exclusive report by Deadline.
Yellowstone actress Jen Landon, who portrayed Teeter on the neo-western series from 2020 to 2024, will portray Dr. Toni Wright on the ABC medical drama. Landon is also the daughter of Little House on the Prairie actor and overall television icon, Michael Landon.
Landon's character "joins Grey Sloan as a plastic surgeon attending. She has a resume of accolades and innovations, which intimidates all who anticipate meeting her. Though particular and precise in an operating room," Deadline's official description from ABC states.
"Toni possesses a magnetic zest for life and exudes warmth with patients and her students. Outside of work, she’s a charming and disorganized mess who says yes more than no."
According to the outlet, Jen will have a recurring role on Grey's. However, with plastic surgeons in the series, namely Eric Dane's portrayal of Marc Sloan and Jessie Williams as Jackson Avery, the role has serious potential to become a huge hit with viewers.
Additionally, actress Sara Paxton has been cast in a two-episode role as Leticia, "a patient’s relative." Both Paxton and Landon will make their debut on the show in season 22, episode 11.
Paxton will be familiar to viewers who have seen last year's horror movie smash Weapons, which Paxton's real-life husband, Zach Cregger, directed. Paxton played local resident Erica in the film. Cregger is known as a member of the comedy troupe The Whitest Kids U' Know, and Paxton made a hidden voice cameo in his debut film, Barbarian (2022).
Viewers may also recognize Paxton from her titular role in the mermaid teen comedy Aquamarine (2006), as well as from guest appearances on the shows Wizards of Waverly Place, This is Us, and How to Get Away with Murder, and on David Lynch'sTwin Peaks revival series.
