Why We Love This Deal
Many of today's best sneakers are designed for specific events, like running, walking, hiking, or simply casual wear. Sure, you could use the same shoe for multiple tasks, but it might not have the right technology needed to best support you in all situations. Hoka, one of the biggest names in running right now, offers good options for basically every facet of movement, but there's one style, the Transport, that was designed to do it all. Having covered this sneaker last spring during its initial price drop, I can say it was a great choice then, but it's an even smarter one now with its steeper discount.
Hoka’s Transport Slip-On Sneakers are just $98 at Zappos right now, a monumental 35% discount off their full price of $150. This all-around lifestyle sneaker is built to perform during workouts and trail walks, and it's an ideal travel pair. It comes in seven colors over at Zappos in sizes 8 to 13, but sizes are disappearing lightning fast. If the one you need sells out, you can find them through Hoka directly, ranging in price from $105 to $110.

These sneakers were made for ease of use, with their slip-on design and improved durability. It uses a quick-toggle lace system for a more snug fit, which you'll sometimes see from brands like Salomon as a fast way to secure your shoe. They have a tough Cordura upper, EVA midsoles with good responsive cushioning, and Vibram soles that genuinely provide solid grip. Plus, they have 360-degree reflective detailing for night walks, too. At 11.2 ounces and a drop of only 4mm, they’re light enough for airports, without feeling flimsy and cheap.
When I covered this pair back in April, the best deal I could find was from REI, where they were only 25% off and had a price tag of $110. Zappos now carries this pair in the latest colors, with seven options available for under $100. This undercuts the next-closest online price, as Hoka is offering them for $105 (in Alabaster/Navy), while all other pairs are listed at $110 on the brand’s website. While there is a greater selection of sizes through Hoka, a fair amount are still available at Zappos before they inevitably sell out.

What Wearers Are Saying
These shoes have garnered very positive feedback, with over 1,100 reviews and a solid 4-star rating. One shopper highlighted that they “fit great, and more than that, they are supremely comfortable.” They said they have “excellent” gait support and a “smooth” mid-foot, which enables them not to rely on insole inserts. They even said they “grip well” in snow, too.
Another shopper who walks 5 miles daily called them the “most comfy” pair ever, stating, “I have had many foot surgeries, man, these make my feet feel like I am on a cloud.”
At just under $100, these all-around lifestyle sneakers prove they can handle jogs, hikes, gyms, airports, and everything in between. Don’t wait to grab your pair, as these Hoka Transports are almost certain to sell out within the week.
