Lady Gaga Sings in Spanish at Super Bowl Halftime Show

Lady Gaga made a surprise return to the Super Bowlhalftime show, as a special guest for Bad Bunny during his headline act.

The pop icon, who previously performed as a headline act in 2017, made an appearance as a wedding singer halfway through the Latin rap spectacular. At the beginning of Bad Bunny's performance, he tosses a ring in a box to a man to propose to his girlfriend. Later, he takes us to a wedding, where Gaga awaited the audience, with a full backing band.

Bunny was joined by other surprise celebrity guests, including another musical guest spot by another Latin music megastar Ricky Martin. There were some non-musical cameos from Latin-American celebrities in this cross-cultural celebration, including Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba, Karol G, and Cardi B.

Gaga performed a bilingual rendition of her 2025 hit song Die With a Smile — originally a duet between the Oscar winner and Bruno Mars. She performed the song in both English and Spanish, in a salsa-inspired rendition of the love song, perfect for a Puerto Rican wedding reception.

She then walked arm in arm with Bad Bunny down from the stage to join the rest of the guests, who quickly dug into the cake and danced alongside the two Grammy Award winners. The two Super Bowl singers, past and present, then had a one-on-one salsa session together.

Although Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, was a surprise for most of the hundreds of millions watching at home, rumors of her appearing during the halftime show started gathering speed earlier today — likely due to an insider catching her at the venue at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Traders at Polymarket previously forecasted Gaga as a likely guest at the Halftime show, with the likelihood reaching 82% in the hours before the show stared.
