Sports Collectors Have Made Their Opinion of Drake Maye Very Clear
New England Patriots star Drake Maye is having the type of season most quarterbacks can only dream of. In his second year in the NFL, Maye has led his team to the Super Bowl and narrowly missed winning the league's Most Valuable Player Award.
One place where Maye is already tops in the league is in the sports collecting industry, where a new study says the former No. 3 overall pick is the most-collected player of the teams in the NFL playoffs.
Maye trading cards in demand
According to data from Professional Sports Authenticators (PSA), Maye's trading cards in demand more than any other player in this year's playoffs. That includes Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who edged out Maye by one vote to win his first NFL MVP Award.
The volume of Maye's PSA-graded cards has surged approximately 590% since August 2025 as the North Carolina alum has continued establishing himself as one of the league's best quarterbacks.
This season, PSA graded approximately 50,000 Maye cards, compared to only 1,600 of Stafford's.
The top five most collected Maye cards are as follows:

Maye's big moment is tonight
When he takes the field in Super Bowl LX, Maye will try to lead the Patriots to their record-setting seventh Super Bowl victory. The first six came with Tom Brady quarterbacking the offense, including a win as an underdog in Super Bowl XXXV in Brady's second pro season.
"I appreciate his greatness," Maye said of Brady last week. "What he did for my team that I play for now, what he did for football, what he's done for my position that I play. Just respect for how he played the game, how he wanted to win so bad, how he carried his teammates, how he led his teammates, how he approached the sport.
"[I want to] pay respect to him, but not try to be him and just try to be myself."
