Law enforcement and police are continuing to search for information about 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, the mom of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, who hasn't been seen since evening of Saturday, Jan. 31.

Now, Savannah Guthrie has received a special message from her colleagues who are covering the 2026 Winter Olympics, as the search for her mother continues.

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Sunday, Feb. 1, and hasn't been seen since. Police continue to ask for new information to try to bring her safely homes.

NBC Olympics Announcers Honor Savannah Guthrie Amid Mom Nancy Guthrie's Disappearance

NBC's official broadcast of the Winter Olympics opening ceremony kicked off on Friday, Feb. 6, and the commentators for the program took a few moments to send a message to Guthrie.

Guthrie, of course, was supposed to help host NBC's opening ceremony coverage in Milan, Italy, but backed out following the disappearance of her mother. Mary Carillo replaced Guthrie as a co-host for the opening ceremony, and Carillo along with fellow host Terry Gannon sent Guthrie and her family their best regards before the ceremony started.

"We're certainly without a very important and beloved member of our team tonight," Gannon said of Guthrie on the NBC broadcast. "She is dearly missed by everybody."

"She's covered so many Olympics, and she loves it," Carillo also said on the program. "Right now, of course, Savannah and her family are in unspeakable, unfathomable pain. We know that in the U.S., her extended family is legion. Savannah, my friend, it’s the same way here."

Gannon added, "We send our love and prayers and all of our positive energy to Savannah tonight."

Guthrie, according to NBC research, was going to work her fourth Olympics, sharing hosting duties with Gannon and Olympian Shaun White for the opening ceremony from Milan's San Siro stadium. Instead, she's at home with her siblings in trying to find and bring her mother home safely.

Savannah Guthrie Mom Update: Pima County Sherriff Holds Out Hope to Find Nancy Guthrie

As for the investigation, sadly, the search has uncovered some troublesome findings. On Tuesday, Jan. 3, NewsNation aired a video showing a trail of blood going up to the front steps of the home. A separate report from the Los Angeles Times states that the blood found at the scene sadly belonged to Nancy.

But, they're not giving up. In an interview on Today Friday morning, Pima County, Arizona Sheriff Chris Nanos said he believes Nancy Guthrie will be found alive. In an emotional message, Nanos said, "You have to have hope. You have to have hope. Come on, this is somebody’s mom. We're going to find her."

Nanos also said that he does not believe the public is in any danger. Nancy Guthrie, he added, is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Her family last saw her at home around 9:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. on Jan. 31.
