White Castle's 35th-Annual Sit-Down Valentine's Day Dinner Will Be Bigger Than Ever

White Castle is turning its 35th annual Valentine’s Day dinner into an affair to remember.

Since Feb. 14, 1991, White Castle has courted lovers across America by transforming its fast-food chic burger bar into a sit-down restaurant perfect for cultivating special moments. The tongue-in-cheek transformation has long been a fascination of White Castle fans, but getting one of those illustrious tables remained illusive.

Valentine's Day Dinner Expands to 300 Locations

But for its 35th annual Valentine’s Day dinner, White Castle is expanding the experience to 300 locations—the largest number to ever participate. That may not make snagging a reservation any easier, but it’ll certainly give you more opportunities to do so.

"Valentine’s Day has become a fun tradition for us. For many couples, White Castle holds a special place in their hearts. Many have fond memories of first dates here, some even met for the first time at a White Castle – and then there’s the few who shared their wedding vows among friends and family in our dining room," said Jamie Richardson, vice president of White Castle. "For a lot of our Cravers, White Castle is where they first met, so enjoying sliders together on Valentine’s Day brings back a feeling of nostalgia. This is a wonderful event for many of our guests who have shared memorable moments at our restaurants over the years. For 35 years, our team members have poured their hearts into making this night special, and that care and attention is what keeps guests coming back year after year.”

Reservations Are Encouraged, and Tables Are Going Fast

The standard White Castle menu featuring sliders, onion rings, fries, and limited-time Shrimp Nibblers will be on offer, and the chain notes that “all ages are welcome.” There’s no dress code required, but White Castle encourages guests to don their best duds for the occasion. White Castle staff will also be encouraged to step up their outfit game as they step out from behind the till to deliver food straight to your table.

Reservations are encouraged, and some of the 300 locations are already booked up for the big night. You can book a table at your local White Castle via Opentable for times between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. "Every year, reservations fill up quickly at many locations," Richardson said. "We encourage Cravers everywhere to contact us as soon as possible to ensure they get a table. Many people don’t realize how popular Valentine’s Day at White Castle is until they experience it for themselves. And love doesn’t stop with Valentine’s Day—we have couples who will actually marry in White Castles later this year."
