Savannah Guthrie's Siblings Annie & Camron: Her Sister Was Last to See Their Mom

The disappearance of Today Show host Savannah Guthrie's mom, Nancy Guthrie, has increased public interest in her family. Guthrie has two siblings: a brother, Charles Camron Guthrie, and a sister, Annie Guthrie.

The three siblings are the children of Nancy Guthrie and her late husband, Charles. Savannah's dad, Charles Guthrie, died of a heart attack when Savannah was in high school, a tragedy she has discussed in several podcasts. The Pima County, Arizona, sheriff said in a news conference that Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her home on January 31; authorities are considering the home a crime scene, and the sheriff told CBS News that he believes Nancy was abducted. The motive is not clear.

The sheriff, Chris Nanos, also said that he has been in contact with Nancy's family members, including Savannah, about the investigation. According to US Weekly, Annie Guthrie was the last person to see Nancy before her disappearance; she brought her home for dinner. The sheriff said that alarms went off when Nancy didn't show up for church the next day, and her family members reported her missing. The sheriff told US that Annie Guthrie didn't notice any "red flags" in her mom, the last time she saw her.

Savannah Guthrie's Brother, Charles Camron Guthrie, Is a Retired F-16 Pilot

Savannah Guthrie previously shared details about her brother, who is known as Camron Guthrie, on her Instagram page.

She shared a video of a plane taking off and wrote, "Col. Charles Camron 'ARLO' Guthrie on his final flight as an F-16 pilot. He retired from military flying this weekend, and we were so honored to see his last flight. I have never been more proud of my big brother. He has flown for our country for 26 years, and continues to serve proudly in the 'Green Mountain Boys' - the Vermont Air National Guard. He is the pride of our family and one of this country’s finest. #applause."

People thanked Camron Guthrie for his service in Savannah's comment thread. "As an ANG family also in New England, I know firsthand the sacrifices your family made during his service, and for that, I commend you. It’s not easy, and you deserve recognition as well," a person wrote.

Annie Guthrie once appeared on the Today Show, and Savannah revealed that they are close. Savannah described how important her sister was to her when their father died.

“Our whole family just hung onto each other for dear life because it was such a shock,” Savannah said on Today. “We were just trying to figure out how to become a family of four, when we had always been a family of five.”

The Today article contains family photos of Annie Guthrie, as well as the sister's dad.

The sisters lived at home even when they went to college, in order to take care of their mom.

“We had a spoken or unspoken pact that on the weekends, even though we were college girls, one of us would always stay home on one of the weekend nights so that my mom wouldn’t be alone,” Savannah said. “That was just something we did together as sisters.”

According to Today, Annie added, “I feel like my mom did such a unique and amazing job to create this foundation for us. To know how to be a good sister is to know how to be a good friend.”

Annie described their closeness. “My sister and I are like the sun and the moon,” she said. “Her sorrows are my sorrows. And her successes are my successes.”

Revealed Savannah: "I think Annie has always taught me about generosity. She is as happy for me if something good happens to me, as if it had happened to herself, maybe happier.”
