Costco and Nike released the Kirkland x Nike SB Dunk Shoes. Are They Worth It?

0 2

On paper, Costco and Nike collaborating on a design makes sense. Costco is the largest wholesale membership club in the US, and Nike happens to be the biggest shoe brand in the country. So two powerhouses joining forces should create an epic buying experience for consumers. Introducing the Kirkland Signature x Nike SB Dunk Low.

The Costco/Nike shoe seems to borrow from the wholesaler’s signature sweatshirt fabric and combines that with Nike’s classic Dunks design. The shoe is Heather grey, with the iconic Nike Swoop on the sides, with Kirland patches sewn in just below. Additionally, the new kicks have white soles. Take a look for yourself.

So just how much are these shoes, and at which Costcos are they being sold?  Plus, what are buyers saying about them? Let’s talk about it.

How Much Are the Kirkland Signature x Nike SB Dunk Low Shoes?

It looks like the collaboration will run you about $134.99 if you want to purchase them in adult sizes. Comparatively speaking, outside of the partnership, Nike Dunks can typically run between $100-$140 unless they are on sale or they're a special edition. So the Costco and Nike custom shoes aren’t necessarily overpriced, or for that matter, a “wholesale” bargain.

As of publication, the shoes are only available in select Costco stores, according to WWD. That’s good news for members who live in the following locations:

  • Portland
  • New York City
  • San Francisco
  • Laguna Nigel, California
  • Los Feliz, California
  • Kirkland, Washington
  • Aloha, Oregon

What Are People Saying about the Kirkland Signature x Nike SB Dunk Low Shoes?

Looking at X (formerly Twitter), here are what some people are saying about the new Costco and Nike collab. Fair warning, there aren't many reviews of the shoe on social media as of publication, but there is a demand to get them. Additionally, there appears to already be a resale market for the Dunks.
