Bella Hadid Is Back on the Market After Breakup With Cowboy Adan Banuelos

After two years together, Bella Hadid and Adan Banuelos have parted ways, according to a source confirmed by People.

“Bella is still processing the breakup since it was a very serious relationship,” wrote Entertainment Tonight who first reported the news.

How Did Bella and Adan Meet?

The pair had met at a horse show after the model moved to Texas in 2023.

“I always wanted the cowboy,” she told Vogue. “And he’s pretty gorgeous, let me tell you something.”

Hadid had been living on a farm in Pennsylvania, which she co-owned with her mother, Yolanda, and model sister, Gigi.

Yolanda, who was in the process of building a new home in Texas with her then partner, Joseph Jingoli, suggested to Hadid, who was struggling with health issues at the time, that she try a change of pace and scenery.

At a local Texas horse show, that’s when she spotted Banuelos. “I saw him walk in and it was like a gust of fresh air,” she said. 

Hadid, who has been in the public eye since her teens, it was a pleasant surprise that Banuelos had no idea who she was. According to Vogue, he told her, “I never knew who you were until I saw your face for the first time.”

The pair kept it mostly low-key over the years, with Banuelos showing his support at Hadid’s pop-up events for her perfume line, Orebella, and Hadid showing up to support Banuelos in competition as a professional equestrian. (The couple was spotted even as recently as December.)

Adan Banuelos Job as a Rodeo Cowboy

Banuelos is an accomplished equestrian who, according to his website, has already earned “five million dollars” for his work as a horseman.

He was inducted into the National Cutting Horse Association Riders Hall of Fame in 2017 as “one of the youngest inductees ever,” and has taken first place in the NCHA Leading Open Rider competition in 2018, 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Additionally, he won first place at the American Performance Horseman, defending his title in the cutter division, and taking home the $100,000 prize. The star currently specializes in training and showing cutting horses.

​The term “cutting” refers to a Western-style form of riding where the horse and rider separate a single cow from a herd. “The cutting horse matches wits with a cow, and a champion maintains 100 percent control of the wily critter,” according toThe Horse.
