Absolut Turns Up the Heat With a Tabasco-Infused Vodka
From pepper to mandarin to watermelon to vanilla, flavored vodka is nothing new for Absolut. The Swedish brand is now turning up the heat with the help of famous Louisiana hot sauce maker Tabasco for a new spicy vodka.
Absolut Tabasco, launching today, is made by infusing vodka with a fiery hot natural essence from the mash used to make Tabasco sauce, which gives the liquor real heat. It’s, of course, perfect for making a bloody Mary but can also be used to spice up a range of vodka drinks, like a Salty Dog or a Moscow mule.

Like Absolut’s flagship expression, this new vodka is gluten-free and contains no added sugar. Its bottle design combines both brand’s likenesses, featuring Tabasco’s iconic diamond-shaped logo emblazoned over Absolut’s apothecary-style bottle.
Collaborations are a major part of Absolut’s history and overall brand identity. Over the years, the brand has released print advertisements featuring the work of famous artists, including Andy Warhol and Keith Haring. More recently, though, Absolut has been focusing on partnerships with legacy brands. The Tabasco partnership follows a 2023 vodka sauce collaboration with Heinz and a 2024 vodka RTD cocktail produced injunction with soda maker, Sprite.

“Absolut has never been afraid to mix things up or shy away from bold moves and flavor,” Caroline Begley, U.S. VP of marketing for Absolut, said in a statement. “We’re proud to partner with another icon and one of the world’s leading hot sauce brands to add a spicy kick to both classic and trending vodka cocktails.”
