‘The Blind Side’ Actor Hospitalized Following Collapse at Home
Actor QuintonAaron has been hopsitalized after collapsing in his home in Atlanta, Deadlinereports.
The actor is best known for his breakthrough role in 2009's The Blind Side, a sports drama about a homeless teenager who goes on to become a football star thanks to the generocity of two strangers who take him in. The film grossed $309 million on a budget of $29 million and carried Sandra Bullock to her first Academy Award at the age of 45.
Quinton Aaron Suffered A Fall In His Apartment Last Week
Aaron's manager told TMZ that the actor fell while climbing the stairs in his Atlanta apartment some time last week, and was quickly rushed to hospital, where he currently remains.
A GoFundMe page was set up to help support the actor. The page states that Aaron is "on life support due to a severe blood infection," but his manager has since confirmed that his condition is stable. The fundraiser has raised over $1,000 of its $10,000 goal, with the aim to use the funds to pay for Aaron's "medical expenses [and] living costs."
She also expressed that "[Aaron's] family deeply appreciates the outpouring of support from fans and the media but respectfully requests privacy during this time."
Aaron's Career After 'The Blind Side'
Though The Blind Side remains Aaron's most well-known credit to date, the actor has appeared in several other projects. In 2010, he starred alongside Jill Scott in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and in 2015, he made an appearance in Robert Toth's feature film Busy Day.
Aaron also made his breakthrough in the music industry with his single "Lead With Love" in 2023.
The actor's family has confirmed that a further statement about Aaron's condition will be released once his stability improves.
