Old NFL Ad Resurfaces and It Has Fans Shocked about the Upcoming Super Bowl?
With the backdrop of a massive winter storm sweeping across the United States, the NFL hosted its conference championships on Sunday, January 26, and millions of football fans watched as the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots played their way into Super Bowl LX.
The upcoming game should prove to be an interesting one for both franchises for different reasons. However, could the league have predicted this matchup from the very beginning of the season? Well, if an NFL ad from September is to be believed, then possibly, and fans have plenty to say about the predictive promo.
What NFL Ad Predicted the Super Bowl LX Matchup?
On September 4, 2025, the NFL released promo art on social media to advertise the season. In the image, some of the league's most notable players are seen walking toward the Super Bowl Game and the Vince Lombardi Trophy at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. If you take a close look, you’ll notice two figures at the very front of the pack: the Patriots’ Drake Maye and the Seahawks’ Sam Darnold.

While this is likely a pure coincidence, it hasn’t stopped NFL fans from weighing in. Check out what some people have been saying on X (formerly Twitter).

Little did they know that the two guys they put closest to the trophy and furthest from the audience viewpoint would be the two Quarterbacks in the Super Bowl. ???????? pic.twitter.com/Gc4hlwaiML

What’s at Stake for the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks?
For the Patriots, they have an opportunity to prove themselves as a championship-caliber team in this post-Bill Belichick era. When the Super-Bowl-winning coach decided to part ways with the franchise in 2024, countless people doubted whether the Patriots could again wind up on top without Belichick (and Tom Brady, who left the squad even earlier). So will new coach Mike Vrabel and star quarterback Drake Maye prove they’re a new winning duo, and the Patriots could be launching their new dynasty?
For the Seahawks, this year’s Super Bowl will mark their first return to compete for the Lombardi Trophy since Russell Wilson led the squad as quarterback in 2015. Back then, ironically, the Seahawks were also playing against the Patriots, but failed to claim victory. So can the Seahawks redeem themselves this go-around?
Tune into Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8, to find out who wins the game and how much of a splash Bad Bunny will make during the Halftime Show.
