NFL Playoffs Schedule: How, When to Watch Next Round

A thrilling NFL Wild Card weekend wrapped up Monday night with the Texans crushing the Steelers.

That can only mean one thing: More football is coming next weekend.

The NFL playoffs continue next weekend with the No. 1 seeds joining the fray.

Here is a look at the schedule, including how to watch every game.

Upsets Create Intriguing Matchups

The top seeds in each conference return to action this weekend after having a bye in the first round.

The Denver Broncos are the No. 1 seed in the AFC, and they will play host to the Buffalo Bills in the first game of the weekend — Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on CBS and Paramount+ (streaming).

The nightcap will feature the Seattle Seahawks, No. 1 in the NFC, playing host to the San Francisco 49ers on Fox and Fox One (streaming).

On Sunday, the Houston Texans will face the New England Patriots at 3 p.m. on ESPN/ABC and ESPN+.

At 6:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Rams will play at the Chicago Bears on NBC and Peacock (streaming).

How Did They Get Here?

The Bills are the No. 6 seed in the AFC. They upset No. 3 Jacksonville on Saturday to reach the Divisional round.

Houston, the No. 5 seed, also scored an upset, at least by seed. They trounced the No. 4 seed Steelers, who slotted in there on the bracket by winning the AFC North with a 10-7 record. (The Texans were 12-5).

Similarly, the 12-5 Rams were the No. 5 seed but had to play at No. 4 Carolina because the 8-9 Panthers won the NFC South.

The 12-5 49ers also went on the road last weekend to upset the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles (11-6), who were the No. 3 seed this season, while the Bears (11-6) rallied to beat the 7th-seeded Green Bay Packers (9-7) on Saturday night.

NFL Playoffs Conference Championship Schedule Also Set

The NFL also announced the times for the conference championship games on Jan. 25.

The AFC Championship Game will be first, kicking off at 3 p.m. on CBS and Paramount Plus.

At 6:30 p.m., the NFC Championship Game will be aired by Fox and streamed on Fox One.

Super Bowl LX will be played Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

NBC will have the broadcast.

With the Eagles being eliminated, a new champion will be crowned.

The AFC will also have a new champ as the Kansas City Chiefs missed the playoffs after seven consecutive years under quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
