One Pop Star Makes It Clear He Won’t Be Joining Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl Halftime Show

0 52

Bad Bunny is one of the biggest musicians in the world, with three Grammys, over 100 million album sales, and countless fans from around the world. His impressive resume earned him the highly-sought-after Super Bowl Halftime Show slot for 2026, and as with every Super Bowl performance each year, there are plenty of people trying to play detective to figure out what surprises lie in store for would-be viewers, including who may be joining Bad Bunny on stage.

With that being said, one frequent Bad Bunny collaborator won’t be joining the "DtMF" star for the big night. Well, joining Bad Bunny on stage anyway.

J Balvin Won’t Be Joining Bad Bunny for a 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show Performance

Despite both performing with co-headliners Jennifer Lopez and Shakira during the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show, J Balvin won’t be joining Bad Bunny this go-around. TMZ caught up wth J Balvin and asked him, "Do you think we might see you for the Super Bowl maybe?"

The "Mi Gente" musician replied, “Oh no. I just wish my boy to kill and destroy it.  I want him to take over the whole Super Bowl and show the world what Latinos are made of. And I’ll be there definitely to support him.” So if you were hoping to see the two perform one of their many songs together on Super Bowl Sunday, you’ll sadly be disappointed.

Biggest Theory on Who Will Join Bad Bunny for His Super Bowl Halftime Show

While at the time of publication there are no confirmed reports to support this theory, I firmly believe Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B will join Bad Bunny for his show. For starters, Cardi B is scheduled to kick off her first headlining arena tour, the "Little Miss Drama Tour," on February 11, three days after the Super Bowl. What better way to drum up buzz for her upcoming concerts and give a sneak peek of what’s to come than performing at the Super Bowl? For those who haven’t purchased a ticket to her tour, seeing her during the Halftime Show may move the needle.

Also, Cardi B and Bad Bunny have a major hit that they can perform together. “I Like It,” which also has J Balvin on the track, was nominated for Grammy’s Record of the Year, reached the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and to this day, remains a modern-day classic for millions of music fans.

Lastly, despite Bad Bunny being a mega star, those who aren’t as familiar with his body of work may be more knowledgeable of Cardi B’s. After all, her hits like “Bodak Yellow” were once played non-stop across multiple platforms, so Cardi B joining Bad Bunny could enhance the show.

Mark my words, I won’t be surprised in the least bit to see Cardi B pop out on the Super Bowl Halftime Show stage with Bad Bunny.
