The Pitt season 2 is getting rave reviews, but another HBO show is getting even better
If you’re like millions of people across the country, then you’re a huge fan of the hit show The Pitt and can’t wait for season 2 to start rolling out episodes on HBO Max on January 8. With only one full season under its belt, it’s remarkable how the Emmy-winning series has easily become the best medical drama currently airing. And for those who feared it would suffer the sophomore season curse with the new episodes, fear not.
Critics who have already started season 2 have practically been giving standing ovations for the new episodes. As of publication, The Pitt Season 2 has been “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 96%. That’s quite the impressive feat. One that’s shockingly being trumped by another HBO show headed into a brand-new season on January 11.
‘Industry’ Season 4 Has a Perfect Score on Rotten Tomatoes
Industry may not be as widely known as The Pitt, but it’s been wowing critics on a smaller scale nonetheless. It’s a financial drama that follows hungry, young college grads as they compete to shine in their careers in the world of investment banking, and the series has managed to earn a BAFTA and has been nominated for several other awards. Looking to last season, the show received a “Certfied Fresh” score of 98%, and looking to the pending season 4, it’s already received a perfect score.
Knowing all this, two conclusions can be reached. First, Warner Bros. is about to have one heck of a first quarter to open up 2026 with two critically acclaimed series and the arrival of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Second, while Industry airs on HBO, given that HBO Max subscribers can also simultaneously stream the series, that means the best new season of a show is an honor that Industry possesses, not The Pitt (again, according to Rotten Tomatoes).
When does ‘Industry’ Season 4 Premiere, and What Else Should You Know about the Season?
Once more, Industry Season 4 premieres on HBO and HBO Max on January 11. Here’s an official synopsis of the new season:
“At the top of their game and living the lives they set out to have as Pierpoint grads, Harper (Myha’la) and Yasmin (Marisa Abela) are drawn into a high-stakes, globetrotting cat-and-mouse game when a splashy fintech darling bursts onto the London scene. As Yasmin navigates her relationship with tech founder Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington) and Harper is pulled into the orbit of enigmatic executive Whitney Halberstram (Max Minghella), their twisted friendship begins to warp and ignite under the pressure of money, power, and the desire to be on top.”
