'007 First Light' PC Requirements Revealed, New Gameplay

Even though 007 First Light has been delayed until May, information is still coming at a steady pace, and the PC version is getting the spotlight now.

In a new trailer from developer IO Interactive, new gameplay was shown, including a section from a previous demo that saw some concern from some fans for its frame rate dips. In this new trailer, those dips appear to be gone, and the game runs much smoother. There is also a brief look at some of James Bond's allies.

It has also been confirmed that the game is running on the Glacier Engine, the same engine IO Interactive previously used for the modern Hitman games.

IO Interactive is partnering with NVIDIA to use the DLSS features in the game, specifically DLSS 4, for frame generation and graphic performance improvements.

Performance, responsiveness, and visual fidelity, it all needs to feel effortless for the player, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX technologies including DLSS 4 enables us to deliver exactly that,” shared Ulas Karademir, CTO at IO Interactive.

The developers have also touted the smoke, fog, and explosion systems in the game as mechanics that have "not been done anywhere before."

Separately, in a press release from IO Interactive, the PC requirements and recommended specifications have been released.

007 First Light is scheduled to be released on May 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
