Why We Love This Deal
While winter camping has never been easy, this year’s onslaught of winter storm warnings has made the proposition even more daunting, at least early in the season. But still, some are going out, and the hardest-going campers will be braving the American South and Heartland in the weeks to come. It all comes down to having the right camping gear, packing warm layers, and getting a cold weather ready sleeping bag, like this one Amazon is selling for just $75.
The Coleman North Rim 0-Degree F Big & Tall Sleeping Bag is over 20% off on Amazon, quite a good price as we head into the worst months of winter.

What Shoppers Should Know
- Shape: Mummy
- Fits Campers: Up to 6 ft. 2 in.
- Key Materials: Polyester exterior and fill
- Temperature Rating: 0 degrees Fahrenheit (about -18 degrees Celcius)
- Best Use Case: Cold weather camping for tall back sleepers.
This is a full-on polyester sleeping bag with a strong interior fill designed for taller campers weathering cold temps. It is recommended for sleepers no taller than 74 inches, but you’ll definitely find more average height campers liking it, too, as the foot end of the bag can be a bit narrow due to the mummy shape.
One thing to note about the construction of this sleeping bag is that it is very thick. That makes it somewhat tricky to pack, but that’s the price you pay for warmth. On the plus side, you might be able to get away with no sleeping pad or a slimmer one, but that’s something to test out before you hit the woods. As with any time considering camping in dangerous conditions, test things out before you go.

What Shoppers Are Saying
One shopper said they “used it a couple nights in 35-degree weather in the desert and it worked great.” They added that there was “enough room to move around in, but still fits snug to keep you warm.”
Another shopper related using the bag in a rough hike up a Vermont mountainside plagued by three feet of snow. Despite personally hating mummy style bags, the hiker couldn’t help but to give the bag a five-star rating. It did its job, after all! “This bag design is perfect for survival and staying warm under very bad circumstances, assuming precautions are kept to keep it dry.”
The Coleman North Rim 0-Degree F Big & Tall Sleeping Bag is just $75 while this deal is on, and it’s perfect for this season’s camping trips.
