Beloved 'The Middle,' 'Seinfeld,' and 'Friends' Guest Star Dies at 60
When an actor spends much of their career working on shows as a guest star, it can be easy for them to not leave much of an impression on viewers. While finding success as a constant guest star is an impressive feat no matter what, some performers in those roles still manage to mark their mark because they are so entertaining.
As 2025 nears its end, one of those actors who managed to make the most out of every role they earned has sadly passed away at only 60 years old.

In the highly competitive acting world, Pat Finn managed to land roles consistently for many years as his impressive list of IMDb credits shows. Often cast in sitcom supporting roles, Finn appeared in so many popular series that people could recognize him from a wide array of sources.
One of Finn's most memorable roles came from Seinfeld season 9, episode 12, "The Reverse Peephole," in which he portrayed Joe Mayo. Finn's character held a party during which he gave each attendee a job. In Jerry's case, he was asked to make sure nobody tapped on the fish tank, instead of his desired job of being in charge of the music.
Finn also appeared in 2 Friends season 6 episodes, "The One That Could Have Been, Part 1" and "The One That Could Have Been, Part 2." During those two episodes that take place in an alternate timeline, Finn portrayed Dr. Roger, Monica's boring boyfriend, who consistently gets called away due to being beeped from the hospital.
Much more recently, Finn portrayed The Middle's Bill Norwood, a recurring character who would consistently pop up again after he made his first appearance during season 2. The next-door neighbor of the Heck family, Finn's eager-to-please character always seemed to desperately want to become close friends with Mike Heck.
Finn would also appear in a long list of other shows, including The Goldbergs, 2 Broke Girls, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Drew Carey Show, 3rd Rock from the Sun, The King of Queens, That '70s Show, and Murphy Brown.
Arguably, Finn's most meaningful on-camera appearance came as a part of I Am Chris Farley. During the touching and emotional documentary, Finn spoke about his friendship with the departed Saturday Night Live star.
