Tudor Quietly Reveals Stunning New Ranger Models Ahead of Dakar Rally

The Tudor Ranger field watch gets a new off-white dial in 39mm and 36mm sizes, along with a new smaller black dial option, ahead of the upcoming Dakar Rally, where Tudor will be the official timekeeper. The Ranger’s pedigree as an expedition watch stretches back to the British North Greenland Expedition in the 1950s, and with Tudor’s Dakar Rally partnership, the Ranger’s adventure connection veers from glaciers to dunes.

The new release expands the Ranger from one 39mm black dial option to a four-watch range: grained matte black or matte Dune White in 39mm or 36mm sizes, on a choice of green and beige fabric strap or a steel bracelet with a T-Fit micro-adjustable clasp—critical for warm days and cold nights in the desert when your wrist circumference changes. The case is made of satin-brushed 316L steel. Both dial options feature Grade A Swiss Super-LumiNova hour markers and Ranger hands.

Inside are MT5400 (36mm) or MT5402 (39mm) in-house automatic movements, both certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), and both with a 70-hour power reserve—enough to keep ticking if you leave it on a bedside table for a lazy weekend. It’s water resistant to 100 meters and has a durable domed sapphire crystal.
