LeBron James Had Clear Message For Shedeur Sanders Sunday
Ahead of his own game tonight against the New Orleans Pelicans, LeBron James is keeping an eye on his hometown NFL team and its rookie quarterback.
Shedeur Sanders is making his second career start for the Cleveland Browns Sunday, and his first at home. The Browns currently trail the San Francisco 49ers 17-8 in the fourth quarter on a dreary Ohio afternoon.
Sanders has delivered one of his team's only highlights so far, which drew the attention of King James watching at home.
LeBron tells Shedeur to 'keep going'
With the Browns trailing 7-0 and less than a minute to play in the first half, Sanders faced a 2nd-and-9 from the 49ers 34-yard line.
After taking the shotgun snap, the first-year signal caller calmly stepped up and delivered a strike down the left side to his fellow rookie, tight end Harold Fannin Jr.
Fannin hauled in the pass with no one around him and took it into the end zone. The Browns later converted the two-point conversion to take an 8-7 lead.

Following the play, James took to X/Twitter to offer support for Sanders.
"Helluva read and pass 12! Keep going!" James wrote, including a wristwatch emoji in reference to Sanders' trademark watch celebration.
A learning experience for Sanders
Sanders and the Browns now trail 23-8 early in the fourth quarter. San Francisco's defense has done a good job making things tough on Cleveland's offense all afternoon.
After a rough debut against the Baltimore Ravens in relief of an injured Dillon Gabriel two weeks ago, Sanders made his first start last Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The 2025 fifth-round pick completed 11-of-20 passes for 209 yards one touchdown and one interception in a 24-10 win.
“A lot of people want to see me fail,” Sanders said postgame. “It ain’t gonna happen.”
We'll see how Sanders finishes this afternoon's test.
