Nick Lachey Had a Rough Weekend
You know things aren’t going well as a sports fan when you’re glad at least one of your teams isn’t playing.
Such was the life of Nick Lachey this weekend as the pop star watched all of his favorite teams from Cincinnati lose.
This weekend is a snapshot in the life of a Cincy sports fan. @GoBearcatsMBB lose, @GoBearcatsFB lose, and then to finish it off…. @Bengals lose. Thank God the @Reds aren’t playing!! Die hard fan, but this shit is getting old……

Just how bad was it?
Struggles on the Gridiron and the Court
The pain for Lachey started Friday night when the University of Cincinnati men’s basketball team lost to sixth-ranked Louisville 74-66 in downtown Cincinnati.
The Bearcats led by as many as 11 but were outscored 46-32 in the second half by their Ohio River rivals and suffered their first loss of the regular season.
The next day, the Bearcats were part of one of the featured matchups of the college football schedule when they played host to No. 11 BYU.
That also ended in disappointment as the Cougars prevailed 26-14 to remain in a tie for first place in the Big 12 and end UC’s hopes of making the conference title game.
To finish it off, the Bengals had a chance to knock off the red-hot New England Patriots but fell short 26-20 on Sunday afternoon as their beleaguered defense showed signs of life but Joe Flacco continued to come back to Earth.
That dropped Cincinnati to 3-8 and into a tie with the Cleveland Browns for last place in the AFC North standings.

On the bright side, there was a big high school football game in the area Friday night one a Cincinnati team was guaranteed to win.
St. Xavier High School rallied from a 20-point deficit to beat Cincinnati Greater Catholic League South rival Elder 42-34 in front of a crowd of more than 22,000 Friday night at Paycor Stadium.
That sends to Bombers to the state final four in Division I.
Why Does Nick Lachey Care about Cincy Sports?
Lachey, 52, was born in Harlan, Kentucky (yes, the same place the FX series Justified was based,) but grew up the suburbs of Cincinnati.
He attended Miami University in nearby Oxford before embarking on a singing career that led to mega fame with 98 Degrees, who were at their height in the late 1990s boy band craze.
Lachey has made his love of Cincinnati sports well known over the years via social media and threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a Reds game in 2009.
The Reds made the playoffs this season but were swept by the eventual World Series-winning L.A. Dodgers in the first round.
They might still have the brightest future of Lachey’s team, though, even with Joe Burrow potentially returning to quarterback the Bengals as soon as this week.
