Elon Musk Draws Fierce Online Attack After One of the World’s Biggest Pop Stars Shares Unfiltered Thoughts
In November 2025, something truly staggering and utterly groundbreaking happened in the business world. Tesla shareholders voted to approve a pay package for the company's CEO, Elon Musk, that could result in him being paid roughly $1 trillion in shares in the company.
After news of the Tesla boss's potential salary was announced, it didn't take long for people to head to social media to react to the headline number. Days later, one of the world's most successful and influential pop stars posted a series of images that brutally called Musk out.

On November 13, 2025, Billie Eilish posted a series of five images on her Instagram stories that combined to make a blistering critique of Elon Musk and what he is doing with his immense fortune. The first image was taken from a My Voice, My Choice post that featured a photo of Musk looking contemplative and made the following statement. "Elon Musk became the world's first trillionaire, here's what he could do with it."
In the next three images, which were also created by My Voice, My Choice, claims were made about what Musk could do with $1 trillion. Those claims were that Musk could feed the world for seven years, provide clean water to everyone for seven years, save endangered species, or rebuild Gaza. To be clear, the images claimed that Musk could complete one of those tasks simply by using his Tesla pay package.
The last of the five images was the only one that Eilish didn't take from My Voice, My Choice. That was the image that took the criticism against Musk to another level by unleashing an expletive-laced insult of the Tesla CEO. "Etc… F---ing pathetic p---y bitch coward." Considering how personal that insult against Musk was, it seems extremely likely that Eilish didn't hold back how she was feeling when she made those posts.
What Billie Eilish's Posts Got Wrong About Elon Musk's Net Worth

The first image that Billie Eilish posted to her Instagram stories about Elon Musk on November 13, 2025, was inaccurate. That image claimed that Musk has become the world's first trillionaire. While some people may think that is accurate based on the headlines about how much Tesla may pay the company's CEO, it simply isn't true, at least not yet.
While it is accurate that Tesla has approved a $1 trillion pay package for Musk, an ABC News article summarized why things are far from that simple. Instead, Musk will only get that incredible salary if the company reaches staggering thresholds under his leadership.
Musk will have to grow Tesla's valuation from its current tally of $1.1 trillion to at least $8.5 trillion. Only if the CEO grows Tesla's valuation more than sevenfold will he get the trillion-dollar salary. To pull that off, Musk will have to make Tesla worth more than the current valuations of Meta, Microsoft, and Alphabet, the company that owns Google and YouTube, combined.
Even if Tesla somehow reaches that valuation under Musk, that still won't be enough for him to get the $1 trillion salary. Instead, the agreement that Musk and Tesla have reached requires the company to have produced one million humanoid robots and one million Robotaxis. Furthermore, it isn't enough to just produce those Robotaxis, they also have to be in commercial operation too. Finally, Musk will only get his $1 trillion-dollar salary if Tesla reaches all of those benchmarks under his leadership in the next 10 years.
While Eilish's posts claimed Musk is currently a trillionaire, Forbes estimated his net worth as roughly $466.6 billion as of the time of this writing.
