The 2025 World Series Begins Tonight - Here’s How To Watch

The 2025 World Series gets underway Friday night, with the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers taking on the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 1.

There are plenty of storylines heading into the Fall Classic. The Dodgers are aiming to become the first team to win back-to-back World Series since the New York Yankees won three in a row from 1998-2000.

Meanwhile, the Blue Jays are on baseball's biggest stage for the first time since winning consecutive World Series in 1992 and 1993. Each team took a different route to get here, but now, all that matters is this best-of-7 sprint to a world championship.

How to watch Game 1

Game 1 of the 2025 World Series is set for 8 p.m. ET tonight at Rogers Centre in Toronto. FOX is broadcasting the series, and you can also stream the game on the Fox Sports app.

Joe Davis (play-by-play) and John Smoltz (color commentary) will call the game, with Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci serving as on-field reporters. Kevin Burkhardt will host the pregame show, where he'll be joined by MLB legends Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and David Ortiz.

Recording star and iconic producer Pharrell Williams will be joined by Bishop Ezekiel Williams’ group Voices of Fire in a special on-field performance.
