Teoscar Hernandez Isn’t Staying at Hotel With Dodgers Teammates – Here’s Why
Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernandez's wife isn't taking any chances this spooky season.
Hernandez revealed he isn't staying with the rest of the team at the Pfister in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as the Dodgers take on the Brewers in the NLCS due to its haunted history.
"For me, it's whatever," he said during a press conference on Tuesday, ahead of Game 2. "I don't believe in ghosts. I have stayed in there before. I never see anything or hear anything. But my wife is on this trip. And she says she doesn't want to stay in there. So we have to find another hotel."
He added, "But I've been hearing from other players and other wives that it's something happening these couple nights."
The historic hotel -- which is known to house visiting teams during MLB season -- has been known is spook baseball stars, including Hernandez's teammate Mookie Betts. In 2023, and again in 2024, Betts opted to stay in an Airbnb instead of the team hotel.
"I couldn't sleep. Every noise, I'd be like, 'Is that something?!?'" he reportedly told Orange County Register reporter Bill Plunkett.
According to Hernandez, his wife heard reports of seemingly paranormal activity from other wives staying at Pfister.
"The lights — some of the rooms — the lights go off and on," Hernandez said Tuesday. "The doors, there are noises, footsteps. Things like, I dunno. I'm not the guy that I'm gonna be here saying, yeah, I've experienced that before. And I don't think I'm gonna experience that."
The Dodgers will check out of Pfister following Tuesday's game as they head to Los Angeles for Game 3 on Thursday.
