The entertainment site reported that, per the Fire Department, an ambulance responded to Keaton's residence at about 8:08 a.m. and took a person to the hospital. Through sources, TMZ revealed that person was Keaton. Both TMZ and People reported that Keaton had died at the age of 79.
In addition, Keaton made a sudden move in her final months, People reported, putting her "dream home" on the market. According to People, this was "surprising" to people because "she said she had planned to remain there permanently."

Diane Keaton Put Her Home on the Market in March 2025, Reports Say
In March 2025, Realtor.com reported that Keaton had put the home, which was known as the "home that Pinterest built" on the market for $29 million.
She even authored a book about the house. Although Keaton was known for flipping houses, Realtor.com noted that this property in Sullivan Canyon, where the actress had lived since 2017, seemed different.
She gutted and then rebuilt the house, and then "admitted that she believed the home might well be the property in which she would actually settle down," according to Realtor.com.
