Travis Kelce’s Chiefs Connection to a Taylor Swift Backup Dancer

0 7

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs will look to move above .500 on the season Monday when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. It's been an up-and-down season for the Chiefs so far, as they've split each of their first four games of the year.

The Chiefs have looked like a top team in matchups against the Baltimore Ravens and New York Giants, but their weaknesses have been on display against the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Chargers.

Monday is a big day for the Chiefs, but it's also part of a huge week for Kelce's fiance Taylor Swift. The popstar released her new album "The Life of a Showgirl" last week, and it could potentially have the most successful album opening week of all time.

Kelce Supporting Swift's Backup Dancer

Swift released a new music video for one of the singles from her new album, and Kelce gave a special shoutout to one of her background dancers. As it turns out, Kelce also has a special football-related connection to the dancer and his family.

"You killed it as always Kam," Kelce said on a post from Swift's dancer Kameron Saunders. Saunders appeared in Swift's new music video for "The Fate of the Ophelia." In the video clip the dancer shared, a crowd of Swift fans in France excitedly recognized him when he appeared on screen in a theater.

"Got a DM from an incredible fan... from the premiere in Paris… ummm Paris… WTF! this scream was thunderous," Saunders said in his post, thanking the crowd for their support.

Saunders is the brother of Khalen Saunders, who currently plays for the Jaguars. Khalen actually began his career with the Chiefs, playing alongside Kelce for the first few years of his NFL tenure. He won two Super Bowl titles with Kelce and the Chiefs before signing a free agency contract with the New Orleans Saints.

Kelce's Connection to the Saunders Family

Kelce and Kameron Saunders continued the connection when they performed together on stage during one of Swift's concerts in June of 2024.

"Trav.. I had the time of my life being an absolute HAM with you on stage," Saunders said after their performance.

"This was such a full circle moment for me. I have been to countless Chiefs games with my family over the years to support my baby brother. Three of those 4 years he was with the Chiefs we went to the Super Bowl and won twice… ABSOLUTE LEGACY!!!"

Saunders added that the Saunders family "loves" Kelce, and he thanked the legendary tight end for his "heart and kindness and goofiness."

We'll see what happens on the field when Travis Kelce and the Chiefs face Khalen Saunders and the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football.
