Danica Patrick Calls Out NFL for Super Bowl Halftime Show
Danica Patrick is not jazzed up to watch Bad Bunny perform at Super Bowl LX.
Last Sunday, the NFL announced that Bad Bunny will headline the Super Bowl LX halftime show at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Feb. 8, 2026.
Patrick, who currently serves as a racing commentator after a lengthy career as a driver, expressed her disappointment with the choice on X/Twitter Monday.
"Oh fun. No songs in English should not be allowed at one of America’s highest rated television events of the year… not just for sports," Patrick tweeted.
Patrick, who is open about her conservative political views, also reposted a tweet claiming Bad Bunny is "a demonic Marxist who was been granted the largest stage with the greatest audience in the middle of a Christian revival."
Bad Bunny has spoken out against President Donald Trump and previously canceled concerts in the United States out of fear that ICE agents would use them as opportunities to apprehend immigrants.
Big news for Bad Bunny
A three-time Grammy winner, Bad Bunny is among tremendous company with his assignment as Super Bowl halftime performer.
The Puerto Rican rapper, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, joins a list of high-profile recent Super Bowl acts that includes Rihanna, Usher, Kendrick Lamar, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira and The Weeknd.
“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown. This is for my people, my culture and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el Halftime Show Del Super Bowl,” Bad Bunny said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Jon Barker, the NFL's senior VP of global event production, said that Bad Bunny "represents the global energy and cultural vibrancy that define today’s music scene."
