D4vd's Manager Breaks His Silence on Celeste Rivas Investigation

0 2

Last month, authorities made a grim discovery at a Los Angeles impound lot when they discovered the decaying and dismembered remains of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas in the trunk of 20-year-old singer D4vd.

As the investigation into her death continues, authorities are still searching for answers and have not listed any suspects or officially labeled it as a murder investigation, though the case is being handled by the LAPD's homicide unit.

D4vd and his team have been relatively silent on the matter throughout the investigation, indicating only that the singer was fully cooperating with the investigation. However, his manager recently broke his silence with some comments on social media.

What We Know So Far

  • A decomposing body was found inside a Tesla belonging to musician D4vd at an impound lot in Hollywood on Sept. 8.
  • The car was brought to the impound lot after “someone reported it abandoned” in Hollywood Hills, and police were called after workers “reported a strong odor” coming from the Tesla.
  • The Tesla was never reported as stolen.
  • The body was discovered inside a bag in the Tesla’s front trunk. The remains were not intact and had badly decomposed.
  • The remains were so decomposed that it took authorities more than a week to identify the body.
  • The remains were eventually identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas.
  • D4vd has a matching tattoo with Rivas, and her mother said she has been missing for over a year and that her daughter’s boyfriend was named David.
  • D4vd initially decided to continue his world tour while cooperating with the investigation, but he cancelled the remainder of his tour on Wednesday.
  • An unreleased love song written by D4vd references someone by the name of “Celeste” in the unfinished title and twice in the lyrics.
  • Police raided a home connected to D4vd as they continue the investigation.
  • D4vd moves out of the home that the police raided.
  • Authorities have not officially deemed the death a homicide since medical examiners have been unable to determine an official cause of death, though TMZ has reported multiple times that the LAPD's Homicide Division is investigating the case as a potential homicide.

Home Raided in Connection to D4vd

Last month, authorities conducted an overnight raid on a Hollywood Hills house linked to D4vd as part of their investigation into the death of the 15-year-old girl.

Los Angeles Police Department detectives were seen taking a computer and several other items from the home, according to ABC News.

"Several items of evidence were recovered and will be analyzed by detectives in the coming days," LAPD said in a statement to ABC News. "This is an ongoing investigation. Investigators are following up on several leads."

Though D4vd had reportedly been living in the house, according to a report from TMZ, the home was actually being rented out by D4vd’s manager, Josh Marshall.

D4vd's Manager Breaks His Silence

Marshall, who represents D4vd and other artists, is the founder of media company Mogul Vision. This week, he took to social media to address some claims not about his client, but about himself.

A recent TikTok video suggested that Marshall was somehow “heavily involved” in the death of Celeste Rivas. He took to the comments of that video this week to firmly speak out against those claims.

“This video is false and the person is misinformed,” he wrote in a reply under his TikTok handle, JMogul, according to the New York Post. “This is the only time I’ll speak on this matter. FOR NOW.”

“How dare you say something like this with no facts,” he added.

Marshall also denied that he had been with D4vd at the property, claiming that he works remotely and does not typically interact with his clients on a day-to-day basis.

“This has been a tough time for my family as I am a father of 3 children. I received no emails and I’m no one’s roommate, I live full time at home with my wife and kids. My daughter is 14 and this news is affecting so many lives,” he wrote.

“I never received any emails,” Marshall added. “I had zero knowledge of anything and I don’t live in California. Also I work remotely 95% of the time and my job doesn’t require me to have much interaction with any of my clients/David, as there are many others that work with him on a day to day capacity, not me.”

D4vd is not currently a suspect in the case and is said to be fully cooperating with the investigation.
