Scientist Tells Joe Rogan When and How Technology and AI Will ‘Replace’ Humans

If there were ever a podcast to openly address the significant impact of technology and artificial intelligence on humans and beyond, it’s The Joe Rogan Experience. Rogan’s latest guest, a scientist, author and educator was an open book while discussing the topic of how drastically and quickly technology could realistically impact humankind—and his comments were eye-opening.

Rogan welcomed Gregg Braden, a five-time New York Times best-selling author and extremely unique mind in science. He put a focus on bridging science, spirituality and human potential, as his Amazon author bio explains. All of this made Braden’s comments regarding the future of “pure” humans and his projections for the future a mixture of shocking and incredible to even consider.

When & How Gregg Braden Told Joe Rogan Technology Would Begin Shifting to ‘Hybrid’ Humans

Braden spoke on The Joe Rogan Experience about his belief that humans are being pushed to “embrace the technology outside of our bodies,” citing that people have been “conditioned to believe that we are a broken, flawed form of life.” He points to how rapidly technology is advancing, and goes on to predict that we are “probably the last generation of pure human,” explaining that in the very near future, there will be some sort of “hybrid” human.

"You’re seeing this play out in the AI conversation, you’re seeing it play out in what’s called the transhuman movement,” Braden said. “The intentional movement to replace our humanus with computer chips in the brain, chemicals in the blood [and] RFID chips under the skin. And it’s all playing out right now, Joe. This can’t go on for, you know, another 20 years because it’s moving too fast.”

“The experts are saying that unless we change our trajectory right now, we probably are the last generation of pure humans that the world will ever know. That by 2032, when you go to the supermarket or to the airport, the people you talk to will be some hybrid. Maybe some more and some less, but will have some kind of technology embedded into their bodies.”

It is worth noting that, while the insight is significant and somewhat concerning, these estimates and assumptions are, of course, made by experts in their field, and not some form of concrete fact. Everyone’s opinions will vary on this type of topic, although the idea of a “hybrid” human is almost impossible to wrap my head around.

Regardless, the details provided by Braden are nothing short of interesting, and the 2032 prediction is by far the most bold assessment I’ve personally seen.
