John Mayer Had 3-Word Description of Record-Breaking Concert Appearance With Zach Bryan

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Zach Bryan made music history earlier this weekend when he headlined a show at Michigan Stadium. The last date on his Quittin’ Time Tour, a reported 112,408 fans attended the concert on Saturday. Although fans came to see Bryan perform, they also got a chance to see plenty of other special guests during Bryan’s set. That included John Mayer, who called the experience “a real honor” on Instagram.
Mayer Reflected on the Historic Moment
“This weekend, I took part in the largest ticketed event in U.S. concert history, thanks to @zachlanebryan,” Mayer wrote in a caption on his Instagram following the concert. “He set a new attendance record at Ann Arbor’s Michigan Stadium. What he’s accomplished is truly phenomenal, and to share the bill with him was a real honor.”
Mayer posted several photos from the evening, which show the singer-songwriter playing alongside Bryan on the stage in Ann Arbor earlier this weekend.
Zach Bryan Responds
“Couldn’t have done it without you John!” Bryan commented on the Instagram post. “We love ya!” The post also featured the duo’s song together, “Better Days,” which the two recorded for Bryan’s album The Great American Bar Scene, which was released on July 4, 2024.
“Last show of the year at Michigan stadium this week,” Bryan wrote ahead of the Ann Arbor show on Instagram. “Been the worst and best few years of my life. So ready for the chapter to end. Gotta go make music fun to myself again. So excited to see everyone there, I love everyone that’s been here this whole time so much and I’m gonna try to give it my all justa’ one more time.”
He continued, writing “each day I pray people understand I will never regret a thing and I am proud of myself, my family and my friends. There could be a million assholes who have never had a unique thought in their life preaching a million pounds of negativity and bullshit and it wouldn’t be worth a single soul who’s found strength n shelter in true song writing and good live performances. Have a good day guys, god speed.”
