Good News for Fans of Snoop Dogg’s Olympic Coverage
The Olympics are back on NBC this winter, and so is Snoop Dogg.
The iconic rapper and the network announced Sunday night he will be part of their coverage for the next Winter Olympics after impressing during broadcasts of the Summer Games in Paris last year.
“I am excited to be back with my main man Mike Tirico for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina,” Snoop Dogg said in a news release from NBC Sports PR. “The D-O-double-G will be on the scene, and I am looking forward to celebrating with the athletes and their families.”
The 2026 Winter Olympics will be held in Italy with Milan and Cortina serving as dual host cities, giving Snoop plenty of options for exploring the history of the region.
“The Olympics is the biggest stage in the world and as everyone knows, I am about sports, bringing people together, and unifying while bringing the fun,” Snoop said. “I’ll be bringing my puffy jackets, snow pants, goggles, skates (and will definitely be iced out).”
Run it back
Snoop was one of the surprise hits of the Paris games, where he carried the Olympic flame, attended some of the biggest events and even celebrated with athletes, including championship gymnast Simone Biles.
He made regular appearances during NBC’s broadcast, marveling at the athletic feats and putting his unique spin on the results of the competitions.
He also memorably watched equestrian with Martha Stewart and won two Emmys for his work on the games.
This time around, the “Snoop’s Greatest Hits” segment will return to broadcasts, as will his chats with Olympics host Mike Tirico.
Snoop will also explore the region’s landmarks and culture during the biennial fortnight of international sports.
